2. **pH Level**: 5.5-6.5
3. **Hardness (GH)**: 4-6 or TDS level at 100-140ppm
4. **Carbonate Hardness (KH)**: <1dKH (degrees of carbonate hardness)
5. **Ammonia and Nitrite Levels**: Should be at 0 ppm
6. **Nitrate Levels**: Below 20 ppm is ideal
